This work discusses the role of the State in relation to public policies that subsidize the guarantee of social rights, as well as addressing gender disparities as a historical result of the discrimination women have faced, which has led to their absence from STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Mapping existing public policies and demanding progress is necessary for women to have equal access to positions of power.
