ELLAS Projects Win Awards at CLEI 2024 in Argentina

From August 12 to 16, ELLAS representatives attended the 50th Latin American Computing Conference (CLEI 2024), held at the National University of the South in Bahía Blanca, Argentina.

During the LAWCC – XVI Latin American Women in Computing Congress, an event associated with CLEI, the following works were presented:

📄👩🏽‍💻 “Occupational Heritage and the Decision for a University Career: A Study on Women IT Professionals in Peru,” by Nadia Rodriguez, Kory Ponce, and Indira Guzmán.

📄👩🏽‍💻 “Mapping Brazilian STEM Initiatives on Instagram: A Methodological Discussion,” by Ana Clara Nunes (UFSC), Francielli Moro (UFRGS), Luciana Frigo (UFSC), Raquel de Barros (UFSC), and Sílvia Amélia Bim (UTFPR).

These presentations stood out at the event, winning the awards for Best Paper and 3rd Best Paper, respectively. 🏆🤩
