During our visit to Brazil’s capital, Brasília-DF, the ELLAS team had the opportunity to experience incredible moments of dialogue and learning by meeting with important agencies, foundations, and institutions.
In the final meeting, the team, represented by Prof. Dr. Silvia Amélia Bim, Prof. Dr. Cristiano Maciel, Prof. Dr. José Viterbo, and student Maria Fernanda Abalém, met with representatives from the National Foundation for Indigenous Peoples (@funaioficial), including Lídia Lacerda, Coordinator of Gender, Generational Issues, and Social Participation (COGEN); Nubia Tupinambá, General Coordinator for Citizenship Promotion; Cleuber Inácio Amaro, member of the General Coordination of Technology, Information, and Communication; and Thiago Santos, Coordinator of Infrastructure, Security, Systems, and ICT Services.
This meeting was an extremely enriching dialogue, where we presented our project, discussed institutional interests, and aligned how our work can meet the needs of this important foundation. It was a moment of meaningful exchanges, reaffirming our commitment to including Indigenous peoples in our initiatives.
The visit consolidated learnings and new perspectives, highlighting the importance of strengthening partnerships to expand the impact of our actions.
