Elaboración de una ontología para abordar la presencia de las mujeres en los cursos de informática en Brasil

The presence of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) has been gaining relevance. However, research on the subject faces challenges due to the lack of data needed for building consistent analyses. The ELLAS Network (Equality for Leadership in Latin American STEM) aims to develop a Linked Open Data (LOD) platform to help fill this gap. The present work is part of ELLAS and contributes to (1) the conversion (RDF) of data from the Higher Education Census of Inep, (2) the creation of a methodology for ontology development, to be used within the project and enable analysis on the presence and retention of women in STEM areas, and (3) its instantiation in the context of Higher Education in the field of computer science in Brazil.
