Abertura e Disponibilidade de Dados de Gênero sobre Liderança de Mulheres Brasileiras em TI

Gender inequality in leadership within Information Technology (IT) is an unfortunate reality. This lack of diversity affects the quality of information systems produced and the well-being of society. One strategy to combat this problem is to use information systems to analyze gender-related data on the issue in order to understand the problem for the creation of public policies and informed decision-making. However, there is a huge gap in data on female leadership in IT in Brazil. Thus, this article presents a qualitative exploratory research on the landscape of the openness and availability of gender data on the leadership of Brazilian women in IT, in which 29 data sources are systematically reviewed and 199 indicators are extracted and published in a structured and open way for the community. The research confirms that the few available data are closed, unstructured, dispersed, and incomplete.
