This article presents the experience of improving accessibility in an institutional website of a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) project. The research was guided by the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and Human-Computer Interaction principles. Based on the diagnostic process, interface redesign, and automated site validation, progress was achieved in usability, readability, and inclusion, with special to users with visual impairments.
