Brazilian public universities, as powerful spaces for reducing gender inequalities, use Information and Communication Technologies to facilitate communication with society, with electronic portals being one of the strategies for accessing information. In this context, the research question arises: does the electronic portal of a Brazilian public university enable citizens to access information about the institution’s actions and policies regarding gender representation? To answer this, we conducted a case study through documentary research on the electronic portal of a public university in Brazil’s Midwest region during the second semester of 2022. We examined the gray literature available on the institution’s website to map and analyze information on actions and policies related to gender issues. This study identified challenges related to accessing information available on the electronic portal, as well as the need to advance institutionalized policies and highlight the actions undertaken by the university to promote changes in the gender agenda.
